Before becoming an architect, Mike worked for 10 years in the information technology industry, primarily as a consultant and technology manager with Deloitte Consulting.  His decision to pursue architecture came after years of desiring more tangible design and an appreciation for well-made buildings.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech.  He is the recipient of the AIA Henry Adams Medal and Certificate, the highest academic honor given to a graduating student of architecture.

When not working, Mike enjoys exploring the world through photography, making art and being outside with his family. He is always searching for a great dark chocolate bar.
